Sounds like a hot juicy story, right?

This is my first post since January 15th. Yikes! Make that a double Yikes! Or maybe “OUCH!” is more appropriate?

So why haven’t I wrote in almost a whopping 3 months when I just began my blog in January?

Well I could go on and on about not having time, because I have been ghost writing for clients, creating awesome blogs and logos for clients like Ruth Sias and her Personal Blog of Ruth Sias or her Marketing by Ruth, not to mention my regular job I still have and being a full-time mami (mommy) and the businesses I am working to get off the ground and the other responsibilities I have in my life with virtually no help…

However, in the end those are just excuses.

I am sure I could have figured out a way to write something even just one post a week if not a few since January 15th, I mean common!

So in the end I had to look at myself in the mirror and figure out, “Okay Jamie, so why are we self-sabotaging ourselves? I know we have a lot of things going on, but seriously you have to make the time you know it won’t make the time itself.”

And yes, I talk to myself… It keeps me sane! And I doubt there is very many people, if any that do not talk to themselves on a pretty regular basis, whether out loud or in their head. Though there are plenty that would deny it! :  )

I still have yet to answer why I was self-sabotaging myself.

However, while I await for an answer it is time to take action and make the time! Sitting around waiting for it certainly will not help.

So why have I changed www.jamiepelaez.com into a personal blog versus an internet marketing strategies and tips blog?

It happened when I was working with a great client of mine Ruth Sias. She wanted to take her then marketing blog into a personal blog and then create a blog just for marketing instead of doing a mashup of personal life meets marketing advice.

Something about the idea of which she got from Marketing by Ann really resonated with me deeply.

That’s how it began and it must be working because OMG I am writing a post!

Here are some of the changes taking place and what you can expect:

1. I will be writing about my life in general, it might be about something that has inspired me, something that annoyed me, something I cooked, something I did, something my children did, something my family did, my hobbies… I could go on but I think you get the drift.

2. I will be writing at least a few times a week, I intend to write 5x a week, maybe even daily.

3. I haven’t decided how transparent I will be however I do know I am going to get pretty personal so be warned it could get interesting.

4. I will be creating a logo for myself finally. Yup it is time to do for myself what I do for my clients!

5. Since marketing online and my businesses are a part of my life they will get referenced from time to time, but more of a “Hey look at the blog post I just did about ‘xyz’ at my marketing blog” or “Hey I just completed a video on ‘xyz’”. The real meat and potatoes marketing how to and tips will be on my new marketing blog.

6. I haven’t decided on what I will call my marketing blog. If you have any suggestions feel free to let me know! I will be making a decision within the next week and getting started.

7. I am pretty great at grammar and spelling… And while I will check my posts before publishing at least once… I am also wanting to write more on the fly and on inspiration. So, if you see something that is a typo, misspelling, grammar error realize it is okay because this is meant to be a casual real-life blog and since I am a real-life person it is going to happen at some point! So relax, it is okay… Really it is!

My name is Jamie Pelaez. I’ve known how to blog for sometime (I’ve even written post for others’ blogs and helped them get theirs set up). However, I allowed fear and life circumstances to get in my way of having and creating my own blog.

I know, silly right?

December, 2008 I decided that I would have my blog up and running January 2009. I decided this is a year of massive action and no excuses, I am holding myself accountable 110%.

I’ve always been the trainer and will still be training and helping others, the only difference is I am going to be also doing what I do for others for myself.
